Leadership society at IU Northwest inducts 13 students, alumni

The IU Northwest chapter of the National Society for Leadership & Success (NSLS) will host a presentation by Nigel Barker via a live satellite feed on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Nigel Barker, best known for his participation as a judge and photographer on “America’s Next Top Model,” will present at the NSLS’s October live satellite event. The presentation will start at 6 p.m. in the Library Conference Center (Room 105ABC).

Barker’s photographs have been printed in major fashion magazines from around the world, and he routinely stars in promotions for both Sony and Microsoft. Barker is also devoted to his humanitarian work for organizations such as The Humane Society of the United States and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Barker will address the crowd, via live satellite feed, focusing on how to concentrate on confidence, increase your allure and radiate compassion.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend this presentation.

The IU Northwest chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success, provides its member students with leadership training, individual coaching, networking opportunities, and an online job database.

Nationally, Sigma Alpha Pi has nearly 105,253 members at more than 223 participating institutions.

The Library Conference Center is located on campus along 35th Avenue in Gary.
