Houston, Trgovich named USCAA First Team All-Americans

Juliette Keller wins USCAA Three-Point Competition; Lady RedHawks play at 3 p.m. today

IU Northwest senior Pete Trgovich III was named to the USCAA's All-American Team on Tuesday.

Sharon Houston and Pete Trgovich III of Indiana University Northwest were named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association's All-American Team on Tuesday, March 2, at the USCAA's annual tournament banquet.

Trgovich averaged 27.9 points per game for the RedHawks this season. He had five 40-point games and six 30-point games this year.

Houston averaged 25 points per game, while pulling down 3.8 rebounds and grabbing 14.9 rebounds per contest. She and the Lady RedHawks are competing in the USCAA Women's Basketball National Tournament this week in Uniontown, Pa. Next week, the team will compete in the NAIA National Tournament.

Also on Tuesday, IU Northwest sophomore Juliette Keller won the Three-Point Contest in the USCAA Skills Competition. It was Keller's 11 free throws on 11 attempts last Saturday that sealed the Lady RedHawks' 70-67 win over Ohio Dominican in the Association of Independent Institutions' tournament championship game.

The Lady RedHawks begin USCAA tourney play on Wednesday, March 3, at 3 p.m. CST against Southern Maine Community College. Fans may follow the action online at
