Leadership society at IU Northwest inducts 13 students, alumni

Join the IU Northwest chapter of the National Society for Leadership and Success for an event hosted on Tuesday, Oct. 19 featuring Patrick Combs, a bestselling author, inspirational speaker, comedic actor and co-founder of a global personal development company worth millions.

The live satellite feed will be held at 6 p.m. in the Library Conference Center (Room 105ABC). The presentation is entitled ‘Creating Your Most Passionate Life’ and will discuss forming daily habits to maintain passions, steps to handling a rough economy, and encouragement to choose your passion and bliss.

Raised by a single mother of little financial means in a small town, Combs was the first person from his family to complete college. He is a passionate entrepreneur who is “on fire for life” and navigates his life with passion and perseverance.

Combs has spent the last three years interviewing more than 150 extraordinary individuals from all walks of life. From his research and discussions, he has developed presentations aimed to influence and engage audiences around the globe.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend this presentation by one of America’s fastest-rising speakers.

The IU Northwest chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success, provides its member students with leadership training, individual coaching, networking opportunities, and an online job database.

Nationally, Sigma Alpha Pi has nearly 105,253 members at more than 223 participating institutions, including IUPUI. In January 2009, IU Northwest became the second IU school to join the Society.

The Library Conference Center is located on campus along 35th Avenue in Gary.

The IU Northwest NSLS chapter urges attendees to RSVP. To reserve your seat, please contact Tameka White at (219) 980-6755 or tamwhite@iun.edu.
