The Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association and the IU Northwest Student Nurses Association are teaming up this fall to lend support to the 13th Annual IU Blood Donor Challenge, which runs from Oct. 1 until Nov. 13. The two groups will host a blood drive on the IU Northwest campus Oct. 19 – 20 in the Moraine Student Center.
The IU Alumni Association has set a goal of 5,000 units of blood for this year’s Challenge. One blood donation may be used to help three people. The IUAA is asking all loyal students, faculty and staff at IU’s campuses to contribute to the cause by participating in this year’s blood drive.
The IU Northwest blood drive will run from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20. To make an appointment, donors may register online at www.givelife.org and enter IUN as the sponsor code. Or, they may call the IU Northwest School of Nursing at (219) 980-6600, or contact IU Northwest Alumni Relations Director Paulette LaFata-Johnson in Alumni Relations at (219) 980-6769.
