Informational meeting on Employee Free Choice Act to be held at IU Northwest on April 30

Advocates for the legislation will discuss its specifics and ways to support its passage  

Advocates for the controversial Employee Free Choice Act will hold an informational meeting at the Indiana University Northwest Library Conference Center on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to participate in this free program.  

The event will feature comments from IU Northwest Professor of Labor Studies Ruth Needleman, Ph.D., United Steelworkers District Director Jim Robinson, and Interfaith Workers’ Justice Center representative Renee Manley, among others. There will also be workers on hand to comment on issues and difficulties pertaining to current unionization laws.

The community is encouraged to attend this free program and learn more about an important issue that is being hotly debated in the halls of Congress and in the public arena.
