IU Northwest to hold Sept. 11 observance at 8:45 a.m. Thursday

Campus will mark seventh anniversary of terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center

The campus community at Indiana University Northwest will gather at the flagpole on the east side of campus at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday to mark the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center.

Sept. 11 observances have become a solemn tradition at IU Northwest, with faculty, staff, students, and administrators coming together to remember the victims of that tragic assault against America and its citizens. Thursday's ceremony will include the lowering of the American flag and a moment of silence for those who lost their lives seven years ago.

Please join the rest of the IU Northwest campus community at the flagpole, located between the Savannah Center and Hawthorn Hall, on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 8:45 a.m., to pay tribute to those who perished seven years ago, and to share a moment of hope for our common future.
