Annual IU Northwest Job Fair set for March 19

Banks, healthcare providers, manufacturers, and law enforcement agencies among the participants lined up for this year’s event

The Office of Career Services at Indiana University Northwest will host the university’s annual career fair on Wednesday, March 19, from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Savannah Center Gymnasium. This event is free and open to the Northwest Indiana public.

Businesses to be represented at this year’s fair include: Alcoa-Howmet Casting; Arc Bridges; Centier Bank; Clarian Health; Community Healthcare System; Pixel Information Technology Corp.; Strack and Van Til/Ultra Foods; and UPS, among many others. Other organizations or entities scheduled to attend include the State of Indiana, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana, Inc., the Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center, and Tradewinds Rehabilitation Center, among others.

Several law-enforcement agencies will attend the job fair, including the Chicago Police Department, the Porter County Sheriff’s Department, the Portage Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, along with the Lake County Department of Corrections.

Anyone who is looking for a job, who needs a new job, or who is interested in seeing what opportunities are available in Northwest Indiana, is invited to visit IU Northwest on March 19 to find the right job opportunity with the right company or organization. While they are here, visitors are also encouraged to find out about the many educational opportunities that are available at IU Northwest, both for traditional and continuing-education students.
