'Aladdin & the Magic Lamp' coming to Theatre Northwest, March 31 - April 1

Production will have two weekend matinee performances

Theatre Northwest is proud to present this year’s Theatre for Youth Production, “Aladdin & the Magic Lamp,” on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 at the Tamarack Hall Theatre at Indiana University Northwest. These show times have been changed from the originally scheduled dates of March 24 and 25. Families are invited to come experience the magic of theatre with this timeless tale of daring courage, flying carpets and dancing genies.

Directed by Associate Professor Jerry Taylor, “Aladdin & the Magic Lamp” brings the classic tale to life in all its enchanting glory. The story centers on a courageous young man who finds a grand adventure and much more when he stumbles upon the magical lamp of the title and unleashes its resident genie. A princess with attitude and a dastardly villain round out this rousing stage production.

“Aladdin & the Magic Lamp” will light up the Tamarack Hall stage at 2:30 p.m. on March 31 and April 1. Tickets cost $10 each. For more information or to make reservations, contact the Department of Performing Arts at (219) 980-6810.
