Area high schools to participate in IU Northwest RedHawk Debate Tournament

Students will debate issues of the day in a series of competitive forums

High school debate students from across northern Indiana will converge on the IU Northwest campus Dec. 16 to compete in the annual RedHawk Debate Tournament. The public is invited to attend these vigorous discussions on topics of current interest and importance.

The debates will begin at 8 a.m. and will run until approximately 4 p.m. High school teams will compete against each other in a series of debates that will be held in classrooms across campus.

The awards ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. in the IU Northwest Savannah Center Auditorium. The RedHawk Debate Tournament is free and open to the public. Come watch, listen and learn as tomorrow’s leaders debate today’s issues at IU Northwest.
