IU Northwest to host Criminal Justice Career Day on Oct. 18

More than 20 organizations expected to attend event hosted by School of Public and Environmental Affairs

IU Northwest will welcome more than 20 area criminal-justice agencies to campus Oct. 18 as part of Criminal Justice Career Day, which is sponsored by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). The event will run from 12 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the IU Northwest Moraine Student Center, 3400 Broadway in Gary, Ind.

Participating organizations will include: St. Jude House; U.S. Probation/Pretrial; Lake County Community Corrections; the Indiana Department of Natural Resurces — Law Enforcement Division; and the Gary, Hammond, Schererville, Indiana University Northwest and Lake County Sheriff’s Departments. This Career Day event is open to the community.
