Indiana University Northwest invites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and all area IU fans to help defeat Purdue University in the statewide Blood Donor Challenge now underway between the two schools. IU Northwest will host two blood drives in the coming weeks to help support IUís quest to collect the most pints of life-saving blood by Nov. 10.
The IU Northwest blood drives will take place on campus in the Moraine Student Center on Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Nov. 6 from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. To make an appointment, contact Trudy McFarland at (219) 980-6600 or e-mail her at email@example.com. Interested donors may also visit the American Red Cross donor site at www.givelife.org and enter IUN as the sponsor code. IU Northwest nursing students and Student Alumni Association members will also be available in the Moraine Student Center to schedule appointments for the Oct. 17 and Nov. 6 dates on Monday, Oct. 9 and Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
One blood donation helps three people. IU Northwest invites everyone to help support Indiana hospitals and IU by donating blood.
The IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge began Sept. 18. Each presenting donor will receive an IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge t-shirt.
