The of Northwest Chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association's first annual IU Golf Outing has been postponed until Mon., Oct. 2 due to the inclement weather. The outing will still take place at Innsbrook Country Club in Merrillville. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by lunch at 11 a.m., with a shotgun-start tee time of 12:00 p.m. This annual event will help raise money to fund student scholarships.
The $175 individual cost of attendance includes lunch, an awards buffet, 18 holes of golf, a golf umbrella, golf cart, tournament prizes, refreshments on course, and a team photo. Foursomes can be purchased for a discounted price of $600. For those wishing to only attend the dinner tickets are available for $40.
Area business and individuals are welcome to participate by either signing up to play or sponsor holes on the course. Sponsorship includes a golf hole sponsorship sign displaying the company logo and publicity in local media.
