Women's businesses to be featured at IU Northwest business expo

The Women’s Studies Program will sponsor the Women’s Business Expo, Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006 from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm in the Moraine Lobby at IU Northwest, Gary, IN. More than 15 organizations that provide services for women and/or women-owned businesses will have staffed booths to provide information.

A few of the many local businesses participating in the expo include: the National Association of Women in Construction, Planned Parenthood, Healthy Start, St. Jude House, Haven House, Victim Assistance Unit, La Leche League/Calumet Area, ALSE Clemente Center, Sojourner Truth House, Indiana University Credit Union, Cultural Connections-Region Women’s Initiative, and Mary Kay Cosmetics. Higher education participants include: the Indiana University School of Medicine – Northwest, IU Northwest Division of Social Work, IU Northwest School of Nursing, and members of the IU Northwest Women’s Studies program.
