IU Northwest Child Care Center to host Scholastic Book Fair

The IU Northwest Child Care Center will host a medieval themed Scholastic book fair Oct. 18 – Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the center, located at 35th and Washington on the IU Northwest Campus in Gary and is open to the public.

The book fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, as well as newly released titles, children’s classics, interactive software, adult books and current bestsellers from more than 150 publishers.

The IU Northwest Child Care Center believes in promoting literacy through a number of projects and events that help give parents, caregivers and teachers the necessary tools to make children active readers at an early age. The book fair encourages reading to children, while earning free books for the classrooms from Scholastic Books.

For more information about the book fair, or the IU Northwest Child Care Center, please contact Karen Grabske at 980-6875.
