Senior theatre majors test their ideas in an exciting program of student-directed one-act plays on Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19 beginning at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Theatre Northwest located in Tamarack Hall. Tickets are $7 and available at the door.
The first one act will be "The Dumbwaiter" by Harold Pinter being directed by Luke May of Hammond as a part of his Senior Seminar project. The cast includes Justin Dal Corobbo of Munster and Joshua Alderson of Crown Point.
The second one act will be "Iraq or Not?" directed and written by Terry M. Harman of Crown Point of as his Senior Seminar project. The cast includes Joshua Albanese of Crown Point, Steve Westover of Valparaiso, Anne Sharp of Chesterton, Ray Fletcher of Hammond, Laurie Farver of Hobart, Charles Scanlon of Lake Station, Sean King of Gary, Terry Harman of Crown Point and Michael Zelisko of Merrillville.
The Senior Seminar is a performance or design project required of Theatre majors before graduation. It is done as a class project in the course, Independent Study in Theatre. This project affords the student an opportunity to demonstrate many of the skills and techniques acquired during the course of their theatre study at the university.
