A series of Skill Building Workshops for individuals in a leadership role are offered monthly at Indiana University Northwest. The highly interactive format of each workshop is designed for managers, supervisors, business owners, organizational officers and teachers or anyone wishing to improve or upgrade their leadership skills. The workshops are economically priced at $50 each and are four hours long.
Workshops scheduled through December include:
•Leadership Through Creativity will be on Tuesday, Nov. 30, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Room 110 of the Library Conference Center. Presented by Denise E.
Williams, president of DEW Consulting Group, Inc., the workshop will encourage participants to make bold moves, evaluate risks and new approaches, and create new ideas that work.
•Information Is Power will be on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Room 110C, Library Conference Center. Keith Kirkpatrick, executive director for the Institute for Innovative Leadership at IU Northwest, will facilitate this workshop. Participants will meet highly organized leaders who share their best practices by visiting their offices and learn first hand how to organize important information.
•On Friday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Kirkpatrick will also lead the workshop on Building a High Performance Team in Room 105C of the Library Conference Center. Topics include educating and exciting staff, creating stronger relationships, and encouraging team performance at higher levels.
