Agencies head to IU Northwest for Criminal Justice Career Day

Meet numerous local, state and federal agency representatives at the annual Criminal Justice Career Day sponsored by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Northwest on Wednesday, Oct. 6 from Noon to 3:30 p.m. in the Moraine Student Center.

The following agencies will be represented:

• Superior Court of Lake County Division II • Camp Summit, Indiana State Police • Indiana Police Corps • Superior Court of Lake County Criminal Probation • Lake County Community Corrections • Lake County Sheriff’s Department • Munster Police Department • Merrillville Police Department • Portage Police Department • Westville Correction Facility • Indiana National Guard • Porter County Sheriff • U.S. Probabtion/Pretrial • Many more!

"This annual event is designed to serve our students and the community by providing information on the many career opportunities in the public and nonprofit sector," said Richard Hug, SPEA interim director.

The Criminal Justice Career Day is open to students of all majors, from other campuses, and to members of the Northwest Indiana community. There is no charge.
