Local residents revive Charles M. Schultz's cast of characters

The cast has been selected for the performance of the award-winning Broadway musical adaptation, "You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown," at Indiana University Northwest’s Theatre Northwest on June 25-27, 2004.

The musical features David Arroyo of Highland as Charlie Brown, Jaclyn Gerdes of Griffith as Lucy, Luke May of Hammond as Schroeder, Erin Weis of South Holland, Ill. as Sally and Daryl Gray of Valparaiso as Snoopy.

Arrive early to witness one hour of free family entertainment prior to the show! Performance times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 27. All tickets are $8 with discount group rates available for groups of 10 or more.

A summer musical is a nearly 40 year tradition for Theatre Northwest. Adapted for the stage by Clark M. Gesner, this version of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" was revised in 1999 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the comic strip. The revised version contains a richer musical score as well as the addition of some new material. It won Broadway's Tony Award as best revival of a musical.

"All of the wit, wisdom and joy of the comic strip can be found in this musical adaptation," said Theatre Northwest Director Jerry Taylor.
