The Indiana University School of Medicine Northwest Center for Medical Education will host a dinner at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond on Wednesday, May 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The evening will offer hors d’oeuvers, cocktails and new information on the nearly completed Professional Education Medical building under construction at Indiana University Northwest. Dean of the IU School of Medicine Dr. D. Craig Brater will be the guest speaker. The cost to attend is $50.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds for new equipment and furniture. Room naming opportunities are still available.
"Much of the present equipment is outdated and limits the educational experience necessary for current and future students," said Dr. William Baldwin, assistant dean and director of the Northwest Center for Medical Education. "Everyone is invited to attend this event and we are looking forward to a pleasant evening."
