All faculty members are invited to attend the free workshop, "Teaching Strategies: Are They Working?" by University of Notre Dame Professor of English Babara Walvoord, Ph.D., on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Library Conference Center, room 105. Lunch is provided.
Walvoord says this workshop is presented as a guide for faculty decisions about pedagogy and technology. In addition to more than 30 years of teaching, she is the coordinator for the North Central Association Accreditation and fellow of the Institute for Educational Initiatives. She is also the recipient of teaching honors and awards, which includes the Communicator Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards TV-Video Film Festival for her collaboration in producing and writing the documentary, "Making Large Classes Interactive."
