"Take Pride in Your Health," is the theme of the annual Indiana University Northwest community health fair, which will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Savannah Center gymnasium.
Representatives from health and wellness agencies across northwest Indiana will be conducting free screening services. Flu shots for $20 and lab work at a minimal fee will also be available. Organized by six BSN seniors, the fair will introduce various campus services available to the community and feature a poster presentation on health and wellness by BSN sophomores.
In conjunction with the health fair, the IU Northwest Student Nurses' Association is sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive. The blood drive will take place in the Savannah Center lobby from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To schedule an appointment, please contact Trudy McFarland at (219)980-6600 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
