Leadership Institute Hosts 3rd Annual Miniature-Golf Outing

The Institute for Innovative Leadership at IU Northwest is hosting its 3rd Annual Miniature Golf Tournament and Silent Auction. The fundraiser is supported by businesses throughout the northwest Indiana region.

The event will be held Friday, April 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN. Participants can expect gourmet food, 18 holes of miniature golf, a cash bar, tons of prizes, and lots of fun!

The Institute for Innovative Leadership is a partnership between IUN and Northwest Indianaís community and business leadership throughout all sectors. The Institute is designed to create a binding link between educational experience and leadership practice.

Through this program upper level students who have demonstrated strong leadership potential will be competitively selected to participate in an exciting and challenging set of activities.

During two consecutive semesters students will listen to and learn from established leaders who will share their wisdom and experience. The Leadership Development Program combines weekly sessions with small group discussion, mentoring, and individual counseling to enhance the leadership growth experience.

Participants in the program will have opportunities to join a network of valuable business and professional contacts and receive guidance from recognized professionals and highly successful leaders. Students will gain valuable practical information and insights while increasing confidence and understanding of personal skills and abilities. Upon graduation a student will continue to enjoy involvement in services and activities of the Institute.
