Indiana University Northwest has announced that effective April 1, the Interim Dean of the School of Business and economics at IU Northwest, Anna Rominger, will serve her new appointment as Dean of the School of Business and Economics.
Rominger joined the IUN School of Business & Economics in 1992. She came to IUN from the law firm of Sendak, Neff & Rominger. She has teaching experience in Business Law dating from 1981. Besides being legal counsel in a law firm, she has also served as Chief Deputy Prosecutor for Lake County, IN and as General Counsel for the Indiana State Welfare Department. She also was the Deputy Attorney General of the State of Indiana from 1972 to 1975. Rominger received her J.D. from Boston University.
Her areas of expertise include Computer Law, General Business Law, Business Organizations, and Commercial Code. Throughout her career, Rominger has received several teaching awards, and conducts and research in the areas of Employee Testing, Portfolio Construction, Volunteerism, and Labor-Management Relations.
"I am confident that Dean Rominger will lead the School of Business and Economics with energy and devotion, but also with exceptional creativity and competence," says Chancellor Bruce Bergland.
Her professionalism has been recognized by several honors including the recipient of the 1998 Teaching Excellence Recognition Award, recipient of the 1997 Teaching Excellence Recognition Award, nominated for the IUN Founder's Day Teaching Award 1993 1997. Rominger also received several research grants including Indiana University Northwest 1994 Summer Faculty Fellowship $5000, 1997 Summer Faculty Fellowship $5000, 1998 Writing Across the Curriculum, and a Minigrant for $1000.00.
