The Indiana University Northwest Center for Management Development is now offering a customized program, "Building Your Quality Toolbox", designed to fit the needs of Quality Professionals, AQIP Coordinators, Department Directors, Managers and Supervisors.
"Mastering the use of the quality tools not only assures superior group facilitation techniques and accelerated improvement teams, but also improves individual project management skills," says Desila Rosetti, Consultant for the School of Business and Economics and Trainer of "Building Your Quality Toolbox".
"Building Your Quality Toolbox" is divided into three separate sessions intended to fit the needs of all Quality professionals. The introduction session is designed for those beginning to work with various quality tools that want to understand their use. Participants will learn the definition of "process" and process boundaries, role and expectations of team members, leaders and facilitators, and practice tools and techniques to accelerate process teams.
Session II is designed for those familiar with the various tools but need refreshing. This course discusses flowcharting, cause and effect diagrams, preparing a data collection, and basic SPC tools such as histograms and runcharts.
The final session is an intensive 2-day facilitation course for participants who will be responsible for leading work groups and must be able to provide them with assistance regarding a variety of quality tools. Participants will learn the role of a focused facilitator, team leader and team member, facilitator adjustment to achieve the best group output, meeting management effectiveness and how to deal with conflict and resistance in team meetings.
To register for the Quality sessions, contact the IU Northwest Center for Management Development at (219) 980-6862 or email@example.com.
