Explore India’s Ancient Religion and Epic Writing This Summer

Add a bit of mystery to the summer by exploring India’s ancient religion and epic writing during an Introduction to the Literature of India course offered at Indiana University Northwest beginning July 2. The Summer II class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. through August 17.

During the class, individuals will learn about India’s religious background through selections from the Rigveda, Brahmanas and Upanishads, as well as discover the life of Buddha and the Buddhist Diamond Sutra. Translations of the love, yoga and mystical forms of Indiana poetry, and the works of modern Indian fiction will also be explored.
