Employment Application Process Workshop Launches Activities
Over two-dozen agencies will be on hand for the Annual Public and Nonprofit Service Career Day sponsored by the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Northwest on April 4.
The day's events will begin with a workshop, Finding Your Way through the Employment Application Process, from 11:30 to 12:45 p.m. Facilitated by Christine Corral, director of Career Services, the workshop will be in Hawthorn Hall, Room 342. The annual career day will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Moraine Student Center Lounge, and will include representatives from the following agencies: the City of Gary, Grand Calumet Task Force, Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Indiana State Board of Accounts, Junior Achievement of Chicago, Lake County Community Corrections, Lake County Superior Court-Probation Services, Peace Corps, SPEA Public and Nonprofit Service Internship Program, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Prisons-Terre' Haute Penitentiary, and the U.S. Postal Service.
"This annual event is designed to serve our students and the community by providing information on the many career opportunities in the public and nonprofit sector," says Joseph Pellicciotti, SPEA director.
