The Accounting and Business Students Organization (ABSO) at Indiana University Northwest is offering free income tax assistance on campus through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) through April 12. 
VITA is a volunteer program for persons making $40,000 or less, and ABSO volunteers will manually prepare income tax returns and electronically file them at no cost to the participant. . 

ABSO volunteers will be available to prepare income tax returns on March 26 and 27 from 1 to 4 p.m.; March 28 and 29 from 3 to 6 p.m.; April 9 and 10 from 3 to 6 p.m.; and April 11 and 12 from 1 to 4 p.m.  Additional appointments will also be available from now until March 26. Participants must bring pertinent income tax information including W-2 statements, bank statements, 1099's, social security numbers, and last year's return.
