Thirteen students from the Indiana UniversityNorthwest Institute for InnovativeLeadership Development Program were recently honored at a graduation andreception at Innsbrook Country Club in Merrillville.
After two consecutive semesters of leadership training that includedworkshops, weekly small group discussions, working with mentors and individualcounseling, the students were recognized for their growth and leadershipabilities as business professionals and community leaders.
Individuals completing the program included: Scott Besedick of St. John;Bryan Blaschke of Valparaiso; Sandra Davis of Schererville, Jennifer Guziewiczof Valparaiso; Mark Hansen of Hebron; Brandy Hayslett of Valparaiso; DragaIlievski of Valparaiso; Betsy Kirby of Merrillville; Anda Pavicevich ofMunster; Ben Rouse of Munster; Daniel Shih of Merrillville; Hillary Thielingof Merrillville, and Bernadette Ziol of Roselawn/DeMotte.
The Institute for Innovative Leadership is a partnership between IUNorthwest and Northwest Indiana’s business and community leadership. Itis designed to create a binding link between educational experience andleadership practice. The students will continue to be involved in the servicesand activities of the Institute.
