Nine Indiana University Northwest studentswere recently inducted to PsiChi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. Honorees include CarrieBrouillette of Highland; Marci Brown of Hammond; Anne Grace of LaPorte;Shivroup Grewal of Munster; Eileen Gurevitz of Demotte; Shannon Jones andHillary Thieling of Merrillville; Lani Kelly of Portage; and Nicole Madalonof Hammond. Membership is awarded to graduate and undergraduate studentswith a major interest in psychology and who meet the standards of the society. Founded in 1929, Psi Chi was established to “encourage, stimulate andmaintain excellence in scholarship” while advancing the science of psychology.The society has 820 chapters in the United States, and is a member of theAssociation of College Honor Societiesand an affiliate of the AmericanPsychological Society.
