Building a Bright Future, by building confidence, character andcuriosity, is the theme of this year’s Kids College at IndianaUniversity Northwest. In its 17th year, the college offers creativeand fun ways to learn for children and teens ages seven through 16. “Our Kids College is part of the university’s vision,” saysJoan Wolter, Kids College coordinator. “ The goal is simple. We want childrento enjoy learning in a creative environment. We also feel it importantto give children the tools needed to help build a bright future.” Kid’s College Summer I Session will be from June 19 to July 6.Summer II Session begins July 10 and continue through July 27. Bothsessions will be Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., withclasses divided into three age groups, 7 to 9, 9 to12 and 13 to 16-yearsold. Kids College classes include: (Ages 9-12) MacGraphics for Juniors; MacPaint; MacMath; Cartooningon the Mac; German for Juniors; The World according to Harry Potter; Art:building Bridges to Myths and Legonds; Basketball for Juniors; Math Poweron the IBM; Spanish for Juniors; Young Writers Club; Sacred Lands of theIndians; Technology of the 20th Century; Medical Art; Dance to the Beat;Art-Connect the Dots; The Philosophy of Pokemon; Coed Cheerleading; Becomea Magician; Science for the Fun of It; and Indian Tribal Life. (Ages 13-15) Art, Get the Point!; MacGraphics; MacPaint; Cartooningon the Mac; Is That Your Final Answer?; Writing Process; German for Collegians;Masks- Special Effects; Coed Cheerleading. Study Skills – Collegians; Karaoke;Coed Tae Kwon Do; and Steel City Improv.
