Indiana University Northwest willconfer 827 degrees at its 34th Annual Commencement on May 11 at 5 p.m.atthe Star Plaza in Merrillville. Dr. BruceBergland will deliver his first “presentationto the class” since coming to the university as chancellor.
Degree recipients include graduates from semestersending in Dec. 99, May 2000, and August 2000. Also included are graduatestudents whose degrees were awarded on a monthly basis during the 1999-2000academic year.
IU Northwest offers degree-granting divisions in AlliedHealth Sciences, Arts and Sciences,Businessand Economics, Continuing Studies,Education,Nursing,(SPEA)Public and Environmental Affairs and Political Science and SocialWork. It is also the site for the Indiana University DentalAuxiliary Program, University School of Medicine – the NorthwestCenter for Medical Education, and the Northwest Indiana Police Academy.
