During the class, students will study strategies for an annual funddrive, corporate and foundation giving, special events, capital development,deferred giving, and major gifts. Students will learn how to incorporatethese strategies into a comprehensive fundraising plan while exploringwhat motivates donors to give to an organization. Understanding what determinesorganizational readiness for fundraising, board member involvement anddevelopment of a case for support will also be addressed. Prospect cultivationand gift stewardship will conclude the course.
