Indiana University Northwest willserve as site facilitator for a three-hour live satellite videoconference,BetterCorrections Through Information on March 15. Designed to explore varioustopics concerning the collection, analysis, and use of information usedto assess agency programs, services and operations, the information canalso serve as a base for policy making. During the videoconference, informationwill be presented on how to select areas on which to collect information,assess needs, develop appropriate responses, manage evaluation resources,and develop and defend result-based budgeting. “This program is one in a series of programs we have sponsored on importantissues in contemporary criminal justice,” says JosephPellicciotti, IU Northwest SPEAdirector. “This particular program is designed for correctional policymakers,directors and administrators of adult and juvenile probation and paroleagencies, as well as administrators of prisons, jails, community correctionagencies and students of criminal justice.” The videoconference will be from noon to 3 p.m. in HawthornHall 400 and is open to the public free of charge.
