Indiana University Northwest willhold three Town Hall Meetings to discuss and receive community input oneight distinct proposals for potential areas of excellence from the SharedVision that will bring enhanced education to students, while helpingto improve the holistic health and well being of the seven-county servicearea of the university.
The meetings will be in the IU Northwest Gallery for ContemporaryArt located in the SavannahCenter on campus. They will be on Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.;Dec. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.; and Dec. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. There are eight Areasof Excellence proposalsto be discussed and include a: Center for Excellence in Community and UrbanHealth and Wellness; Urban Studies Institute; Northwest Indiana Institutefor Family Wellness and Professional Training; Center for EnvironmentalStudies at IUN; Center for Ethics and Public Policy; Virtual IUN Center;and a IUN Center for the study and Teaching of Biological and BehavioralEvolution.
