Ghosts from the “other side” will inhabit the stage at IndianaUniversity Northwest when TheatreNorthwest opens their 2000-2001 season on October 13 with the play,Blithe Spirit. Written by British playwright, Noel Coward,the ghostly farce is about an author who, as part of his research for anew book, invites a medium to his house to conduct a séance. Non-stopfun ensues when the medium “brings back” the author’s first wife, a verymischievous spirit.
The October 13 production will begin at 7:30 p.m. Two shows are scheduledfor October 14, one at 2:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. All tickets are $6.
The Theatre’s season will also include the humorous and thought-provoking,A Lie of the Mind by Sam Shepard in November; a concert featuringLa Ste (viola and steel drum) from the Indiana Symphony Orchestra,in December; the witty and contemporary, Lips Together, Teeth Apartby Terrance McNally in February; Lewis Carroll’s enchanting children’sstory, Alice in Wonderland and the IUN Dance Company Concert inApril; and a rousing musical tribute to 1940s America and swing music,Over Here in June.
