Individuals planning to take the Professional in Human Resources andSenior Professional in Human Resources certification exams on May 6 canprepare for the exams during a development course beginning February 1at Indiana University Northwest.

Based upon the body of knowledge defined by the HumanResource Certification Institute, the course will cover seven areasof human resources that include: management practices, general employmentpractices, selection and placement, training and development, compensationand benefits, employee and labor relations, and health, safety and security.The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)Learning System will be used in class and experts in the field will facilitate.

Conducted by SHRM and IU Northwest representatives, classes are on Tuesdayevenings from 6 to 8 p.m. from February 1 through April 4.
