Gallery Northwestat Indiana University Northwest willexhibit the art of contemporary expressionists from January 10 throughFebruary 2. Curated by NeilGoodman, nationally known artist and IU Northwest professor of finearts, the show will include work from Stephanie Bird, Judith Brotman, RodneyDickson, Waldemar Dynerman, James Luckett, John Lustig, Sandra Perlow,Mary Strasevicius and Fern Valfer.
“This is art work that emphasis’ the inner experience,” says Ann Fritz,Gallery Northwest director. “Not objective reality, but subjective emotionsthe artist has felt.”
A lecture on expressionism by artist, Sandra Perlow of Chicago willbe January 12 at 1 p.m. at the gallery.
The exhibit’s opening reception will be January 13 from noon to 2 p.m.and many of the artists will be present to discuss their work.
Gallery Northwest is located in Tamarack Hall at IndianaUniversity Northwest and is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
