Counselor To Speak on Drug Use of Local Male College Students

Drug use of males attending college in the Munster-Highland area, will be part of the information presented at Indiana University Northwest from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 at the campus Library Conference Center.

Walter Fillmore, substance abuse counselor, will also cover the history and controversy of methadone maintenance treatment. He will explain resources available at the Discovery House, a local center offering methadone treatment, counseling and other services. Fillmore is director of the facility.

The program is being sponsored by the IU Northwest anthropology and sociology clubs and is open to the community free of charge. Refreshments and discussion will follow the presentation. More information is available by contacting the Dr. Bob Mucci at 219-980-6607.
