Indiana University Northwest is offering a highly successful development class for human resource professionals on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning September 8 through November 20.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and IU Northwest faculty will conduct the class that provides preparation for those who intend to sit for the Professional in Human Resources and Senior Professional in Human Resources certification exams on December 4, 1999.
As defined by the Human Resource Certification Institute, the course will cover seven areas that include human resources; management practices; general employment practices; selection and placement; training and development; compensation and benefits; employee and labor relations; and health, safety and security. The SHRM Learning System will be used in the class with each area of study facilitated by an expert in that field. The Northwest Indiana chapter of SHRM will utilize its membership base to provide the finest leadership available.
