Latino Cultural Art Contest

Preserving Our Past While Creating Our Future is the theme of the First Annual Northwest Indiana Pachanga (get together) Cultural Arts Contest sponsored by Indiana University Northwest, LaCasa of Northwest Indiana, Inc. and the Northern Indiana Arts Commission. The contest is part of a month-long celebration of Latino Heritage and Arts during November and December 1999.

Artistic works that include photography, fine art and literature reflecting the past, present or future of the Latino culture will be accepted until October 1. All winners will be announced on November 11 at Gallery Northwest, Indiana University Northwest. Art exhibits will be on display at Gallery Northwest for one month from Nov. 8 through Dec. 8. Artwork and literature will also be published.

The contest is open to all high school students and entry guidelines must be followed.
