Indiana University Northwest graduate student, Sherri A. Galloway, 22, of Valparaiso was recently crowned Ms. Indianapolis 1999 and will represent the State of Indiana at the Ms. Nationals – USA pageant in Orlando, Florida later this year.

Galloway, who will complete her master’s degree in secondary education this summer, was chosen for the title after a series of interviews with judges and answering impromptu questions through sealed envelopes. She also modeled casual and formal clothing.   

A graduate of Crown Point High School, Galloway is the daughter of Dr. Jerry and Mary Galloway. A 3rd degree black belt and National Silver Medal Collegiate, Galloway will begin a doctoral program at Ball State University in September.
