IU Northwest Business Students Beat National Average
Business students at Indiana University Northwest recently scored above the national average on the Major Field Examination, a national test of educational achievement.
Twenty-five IU Northwest seniors took the test in their business policy course and also scored above the national average in five other test areas that included accounting; finance; marketing; legal, social and ethical issues; and quantitative skills.
“These results demonstrate the excellence of our students and underline the quality of our programs,” says Don Coffin, dean of the IU Northwest Division of Business and Economics.
The test was developed by the Educational Testing Service - a service that also develops and administers the SAT (scholastic achievement test) and other aptitude and achievement tests. Over 244 schools participated throughout the nation.
IU Northwest is the only public institution of higher education in Norwest Indiana with business programs accredited by the International Association for Management Education (AACSB). More information on the IU Northwest Division of Business is at 219-980-6633.
