The Indiana University NorthwestBilingual/ESL (English As a Second Language) program and McKinley Elementary School are joining together to host several parent workshops through P.A.C.T. (Parents and Community Together), a bilingual collaborative.
Computer Technology in Your Community will be Tuesday, April 27 from 4:20 to 5:30 p.m. in the McKinley School Computer Lab. Stephanie D. Ramos, education consultant, will present the workshop.
What Can the East Chicago Community Health Center Do For You? and Looking for the Signs: Drug and Gang Awareness, will be offered on Friday, April 30 from 4:20 to 5:30 p.m. in the McKinley School Library. Presenters include Mally Malaves, RN, Norma Cintron, insurance representative and Lt. Henderson of the East Chicago Police Department.
McKinley Elementary School is located at 4825 Magoun Ave. The workshops are open to the community. Childcare services are available. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.
