Theatre Northwest will hold auditions for the musical comedy, Kiss Me Kate on Wednesday, April 14 at 7 p.m.

Kiss Me Kate is known as “a play within a play” that shifts from the backstage antics of a group of actors to their actual production of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. Music and lyrics for the production were written by Cole Porter and include musical numbers ranging from the Broadway classic Another Openin’, Another Show to the boisterous Brush Up Your Shakespeare.

Actors auditioning for Kiss Me Kate must be at least 18-years-old and have an up-tempo show tune prepared. They should also be dressed for movement. Accompaniment will be provided.
Rehearsals for the production will run from May 8 through June 23. Performance is scheduled for June 24 through June 27.
