Charles Darwin Birthday Celebration

The birthday of 19th century naturalist, Charles Darwin will be celebrated at IU Northwest on February 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. on campus at the Library Conference Center.

University professors will be giving a series of lectures in honor of Darwin's 190th birthday throughout the afternoon and includes: Science and Pseudo Science with professor Mark Sheldon, department of philosophy; Evolution of Creationism with professor Bob Mucci, department of anthropology; Darwinism and Spencerism with professor Charles Gallmeier, department of sociology; Thomas Henry Huxley with professor Alan Barr, department of English; Darwin on Ecology with professor Spencer Cortwright, department of biology; Sociobiology with professor Jack Bloom, department of sociology; and How Ussher Went Wrong with professor Bob Votaw, department of geosciences.
