Friday, August 29, the IU Northwest family lost a very special
person, a woman who was a friend, teacher, colleague and
mentor to many. Dr. Robin Hass Birky touched and shaped the
lives of countless students and colleagues in one way or
another, whether it was through her 13 years of teaching
English in the classroom, or through her work as associate
vice chancellor for academic affairs, or through her community
service for the cause of childhood literacy. Robin will be
greatly missed by all who benefited from her wisdom, experience,
quick wit, good humor, and overall personal character.
We invite you to share your thoughts, memories and/or condolences for our dear
friend and colleague Dr. Robin Hass Birky. We have set up a web form below for
