News from the Bursar

Bursar information

Students can view their spring 2006 tuition and fees on their bursar account beginning December 2. To view your bursar account information:

  • Logon to www.onestart.iu.edu
  • Click on the Self Service tab
  • Locate the Bursar channel
  • Click on My Bursar Account
  • Click on My Bursar Account again
  • Click on the spring 2006 highlighted line - A summary of your spring 2006 Bursar activity is shown.
  • Click on View Account Detail - A detailed list of your spring 2006 Bursar activity is shown.

Because the Office of the Bursar cannot release student information over the phone, we encourage you to check your account information on line.

Bills and Due Date

A bill will be mailed the w eek of December 19 to those students who register on or before December 19. Your payment will be due on January 3. A bill will be mailed the week of January 15 for those students who register bet ween December 20 and January 16. Your payment will be due on January 31. Failure to receive a bill is not a valid reason for non-payment. Keep your address current with IUN.

Financial Aid Recipients       

If you have anticipated aid (expected awards) on your bursar account, the balance due on your bill w ill be reduced by the anticipated aid. Eligible anticipated aid awards will not transfer to your bursar account as “real” usable aid until at least 10 days before classes begin. We expect the eligible awards to transfer from anticipated aid to “real” usable financial aid on approximately December 28. To view your bursar account, logon to www.onestart.iu.edu . To determine the status of your financial aid awards, logon to www.onestart.iu.edu and click on My Financial Aid Account Summary in the Financial Aid area. 

Refunds

The Office of the Bursar will begin refunding excess financial aid on December 29. Allow 3-4 business days after the refund is processed for the direct deposit of your refund. Allow 7-10 business days after the refund is processed for the receipt of a paper check.

Parking Tags

Parking tags will be mailed on December 21 to those students who registered on or before December 20 and selected and saved parking as an optional fee when completing the registration process. Students who did not select and save parking when registering or who registered after December 20, can purchase and pick up parking tags at the Office of the Bursar and Parking Services, Hawthorn 102. You should begin displaying your parking tag before the end of the first week of class. 

On Line Bursar Services

Logon to www.onestart.iu.edu, click on the Self Service tab and locate the Bursar channel and make your selection to:

  • Make a payment on line
  • Vie w your current bursar account activity
  • Sign up for Direct Deposit
