The Office of Admissions is pleased to announce the
appointment of Kathy
Spicer as the new admissions counselor covering northern
Lake County. No stranger to IU Northwest, Kathy began
her career in 1996 as the campus switchboard operator,
then served as an admissions processor and most recently
was the site facilitator of Off-Campus Programs at
the Portage Instructional Site. Other off-campus positions
included working at Porter Memorial Hospital , Opportunity
Enterprises and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
Kathy received her Bachelor of General Studies from
IU Northwest in May 2005.
Kathy brings a wealth of admissions office experience
into her new role as an Admissions Counselor. She has
a strong knowledge base of our student information
system and excellent people skills. Her primary duties
will include actively recruiting in northern Lake County
, facilitating campus visits, and providing leadership
in the upgrade of our communication system with prospective
students. We are very happy to welcome her back into
the IUN Admissions Office family!
