News from the Bursar

Advance Registration by Appointment begins on November 8.  If you view a hold on your account which prevents you from registering and the hold states that you have an encumbered account or a past due balance, you'll need to pay the balance in full before you can register.  If you applied for financial aid and your aid has not yet credited your bursar account, please contact the IUN Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Tuition and fees for the spring 2005 semester will not appear on your bursar account until December 1.  After December 1, you can view your bursar account details using the following path:

  • Logon to OneStart
  • Click on the Self Service tab
  • Locate the Bursar channel
  • Click on My Bursar Account
  • Click on My Bursar Account again
  • Click on the spring 2005 highlighted line
    - A summary of your spring 2005 Bursar activity is shown.
  • Click on View Account Detail
    - A detailed list of your spring 2005 Bursar activity is shown.

A bill will be mailed to you during the week of December 20 if you register before December 20.  If you register after December 20, a bill will not be mailed .  You will need to view your bill on line.  For students who register on or before January 6, 2005 , payment is due on or before January 6, 2005 by 6:00 p.m.   For those students who register after January 6, payment is due at the time of registration.

Parking permits will be mailed to those students who register before December 20 and select parking when registering.  For those students who register before December 20 and do not select parking, parking tags can be paid for and picked up at the Office of the Bursar and Parking Services, Hawthorn Hall 102.  All students registering after December 20 must pick up their parking tags at the Office of the Bursar and Parking Services, Hawthorn Hall 102.

Refunds - The Office of the Bursar will begin processing refunds for students who have excess financial aid on their account on January 3, 2005.  If you have direct deposit, it will take at least 3-4 business days from the date the refund is processed by the Office of the Bursar for your refund to credit to your personal checking or savings account.  Because the Office of the Bursar cannot release student information over the phone, we encourage you to check your account information on line using the path above to determine the day your refund was processed.

Anticipated financial aid is financial aid that is under review and it could change before being made an actual award.  It should therefore not be used to reduce the amount due on your bill.  Loans will not appear as anticipated aid.  Bank loans will not appear on your account until at least 10 days before the first day of class (December 30).
