The Admission
Counselors have completed high school visits and will
now spend most of their time in the Office of Admissions
working with prospective students and following up
on incomplete applications. Hard work by the
Office of Admissions' staff has lead to positive results.
As of early June, we have increased applications by
6% and admissions by 10% over last year at this time.
The Office of Admissions also coordinates New Student
Orientation. Sessions this year are June 19 th , July
30 th and August 14 th . The program includes a academic
and student services fair, a national speaker focusing
on making college count from the first day of classes
until students start their career, a student presentation
on college life, an IT video, campus tours, ID cards,
as well as academic advising and registration for those
students who have not already registered. Parents can
meet with representatives from Financial Aid, the Bursar/Parking
Office, Special Retention Programs, and Career Services.
